Jo Sambandan, nursing lead
The nurse practitioner is here for people of any age with minor or major, acute, physical or psychological health needs. They are able to diagnose and treat many illnesses and injuries, prescribe medications, where appropriate, or offer advice and support as required.
Please continue to see your doctor or practice nurse for any ongoing management of your chronic conditions. If you aren’t sure if our nurse practitioner can deal with your problem, come and see her anyway, as she may be able to help, or at least guide you to the most appropriate healthcare.
Definition of acute illness/injury – new onset, likely short duration of symptoms or need for intervention.
