1. Name

Old Mill and Millgates Medical Practice Patient Participation Group.

2. Association

Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) is affiliated to the National Association for Patient Participation (NAPP)

3. Purpose

To represent the patients of Old Mill and Millgates Medical Practice and work in partnership with GPs and Practice staff to improve services to patients.

4. Membership

Membership is open to all patients registered with the Practice. The PPG shall elect a chairperson, vice-chair, secretary and treasurer. A sub-group may be appointed to carry out a specific job.

5. Aims

  • To support and build a two-way relationship between patients and the Practice.
  • To encourage development and quality of health promotion and health care services.
  • To provide regular information via a newsletter and Practice website in order to keep patients up to date with events.
  • To encourage and promote co-operation with other organisations.

6. Annual General Meeting

Notice of the day, time and place will be given via notice boards. Any items for the agenda shall be sent to the secretary for consideration at least four weeks prior to the AGM. At the AGM the chair and treasurer will give a report before election of officers.
